Friends are someone we choose in our life because we connect to them, we find similarities in them, we find ourselves in them.
The people, we are lucky to have as our extended family. The people who we love unconditionally, with whom we have no expectations and lots of fun.
We share our lives with them, our happiness, our sadness and who are our partners in crime.
We might fight, say millions of things against them,
‘but, you dare not say anything against them, only I have the right to say because they are my friends…’
We may fight but we love each other more than that. We share all our secrets with them, we share our fights with them, we share our love with them.
From, “I fought with my mom today…”, To “I just love my mom”.
From, “You know what happened today…” To, “I hate these gosspis…”
From, ‘It was a terrible day today, let’s sit somewhere for sometime…’
To, ‘I don’t have anything to wear, let’s go shopping today…’
From, ‘I don’t feel like going home this early, let’s go hang out..’
To, ‘I am feeling hungry, let’s go eat something out…’
From, ‘ I am in love, and this time its different..’
To ‘I hate this person, we were never meant to be together…’
We have shared everything from our struggles, our first job, our first achievement, our promotion, to our childhood crushes, our first love, our first break up, and every second of our life with them.
They guide us sometimes and sometimes we protect them.
Then one fine day we realise, everything has stopped, the sharing, the gossips, the endless talks, the good times together, the bad times together, everything has come to a stand still.
We try hard to get to know what had changed, what had happened, what might have gone wrong.
But, the time, the distance between us, the misunderstandings, the miscommunications had created a void between us and this emptiness cannot be filled now.
Its too late now to be normal again. Now, you have yourself, the memories and the broken heart.
This was the Break Up of our Friendship.
